The Temple Mount Faithful is not a terrorist organization!

[T]o support the slanderous and unsubstantiated accusations, Fox 25 primarily relied on testimony from... a man that the Israeli police suspects of being involved in terrorist activity.

Well, we tried to warn them. Last night I found out that a blogger by the name of David Ben-Ariel

a little-known blogger

Our church briefly communicated with David Ben-Ariel in the early 1990s. But we quickly cut off all contact after learning about his bizarre and even radical views. In 1996, while in Israel as an active member of the Temple Mount Faithful, Ben-Ariel -whose name used to be David Hoover - was detained by Israeli police and interrogated for six hours for allegedly plotting to blow up the Al-Asqa Mosque in order to clear the way for a third Jewish temple to be built.

Israeli authorities kept Ben-Ariel in prison for several weeks during the investigation. While in jail, according to the Jerusalem Post (Feb. 1, 1996), Ben-Ariel petitioned Israel's High Court of Justice for his release while Israeli authorities decided whether to prosecute the Christian-Zionist or deport him back to the States. Ben-Ariel's request for release was denied. Soon after, he was deported

That's the kind of potentially dangerous influence our church avoids associating with

that man's troubling background

may have been part of a terrorist plot in Jerusalem

Philadelphia Church of God ministers, Messrs. Gerald and Stephen Flurry, made passing references to the Temple Mount Faithful, Israeli police and Israeli investigations of David Ben-Ariel (little ol' me), and included inflammatory false accusations of "dangerous influence" and warning FOX 25 about me. Surely the PCG understands how the charge of an Israeli investigation would unfairly prejudice readers against me.

Dangerous Ideas?

Messrs. Gerald and Stephen Flurry simply hurled that fire bomb at me in their full page ad in The Oklahoman to damage my promotional work and undermine Beyond Babylon that contains our biblical beliefs, because they're not in control - they don't call the shots - and it exposes the work that they're not doing, as effectively as they could! The Catholic Church saw to it that "heretics" were burnt at the stake and Flurry and cultic company engage in smear campaigns, character assassination, against those who dare to disagree with them!

If I had been a federal agent or Israeli agent reading their slanderous report, it certainly would have raised concerns in my mind about David Ben-Ariel. Why would the Philadelphia Church of God attempt to frighten Oklahomans against David Ben-Ariel and the Temple Mount Faithful who are both Bible believers and law-abiding?

Gershon Salomon, chairman of the Temple Mount Faithful, regularly works with the Israeli authorities in preparation, coordinating efforts in Jerusalem, for his legal demonstrations to protest ongoing religious discrimination against Christians and Jews in Israel, and as a hero from Israel's Six Day War in 1967, having helped to liberate the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, Mr. Salomon is known by every Israeli and completely above ground and level-headed.

I informed the Israeli police who conducted an investigation about me, due to a controversial article published in Jerusalem (Exposing the German-Vatican Plot to Occupy Jerusalem) that includes many of the same beliefs the PCG shares, that I respected it was their duty to investigate any legitimate concerns they might have, but that they condemn themselves if after they discover my innocence (which they did, "lacking sufficient evidence" to charge or convict me of anything of the sort), they continued to treat me like some common criminal! They informed The Jerusalem Post, as reported on the front page of The Jerusalem Post (Jan. 9, 1996), they "lacked sufficient evidence..." against me.

Did you get that? It bears repeating since apparently Gerald and Stephen Flurry failed to get it or wickedly ignored it: the Israeli police informed The Jerusalem Post, as reported on the front page of The Jerusalem Post, they "lacked sufficient evidence..." against me. So why would professing Christian church leaders fail to give me the benefit of the doubt, cast aspersions on my character, and play the charade of feeling the need to distance themselves from me? Especially when they're acting so self-righteously indignant over such tactics they feel have been used against them? Doesn't that appear as sheer gall and rank hypocrisy before both God and man?

Still at Large!

As for law enforcement officials in this country, I've reported on how the FBI investigated a false accusation against me, how I welcomed them and went over and beyond being helpful by providing them complete access to my computer's hard drive without a warrant to do so, and on another occasion appreciated their support when they tracked a death threat against me to East Jerusalem.

All things considered, as a practicing Christian Zionist (nothing to be ashamed of), I forgive Messrs. Gerald and Stephen Flurry for their misleading references to me, and thank our Great Creator God, the God of the Bible, the God of Israel, for offering me this opportunity to again clear my name of all these false charges some hope to keep alive, hateful opponents of the plain truth of the Bible and history that I dare to share. Perhaps the PCG can help to make amends with the maligned Temple Mount Faithful by writing an objective article about them in The Philadelphia Trumpet magazine and/or offering a generous donation to their biblical cause.

It grieves me to report for the record, for the sake of the Church of God history, that too often politics has impeded the progress of the Work of God. The following is typical of the attitude I encountered when I shared my dreams for God's Church to reach out to Judah, informing them (the Philadelphia Church of God) of what I was doing:

Judean Voice Ad [The Judean Voice was a strong Jewish magazine read throughout New York City and Israel that taught the plain truth of the Torah as shared by former Israeli parliament member and rabbi, Meir Kahane]

Too bad the Church of God doesn't follow Mr. Armstrong's example and run FULL PAGE ADS in newspapers. If God's Church really wants to reach the general public they would run such ads that would generate attention and controversy. I'm doing what I can to reach "the cities of Judah" (Isa. 40:9) by blowing "the trumpet of Zion" and sounding "an alarm in [God's] holy mountain" (Joel 2:1), letting God's warning roar (Joel 3:16).

(Thursday, March 1, 2001)

Stephen Flurry promptly responded:

Too bad you don't follow Mr. Armstrong's example of submitting to God's government and growing within the body of His one true Church. Are you trying to say that by putting a FULL PAGE ad in the "Judean Voice," you are following in Mr. Armstrong's steps - that you are the one generating attention and controversy? Please.

My response:

Shalom Stephen,

What I said was I am DOING what I can to reach Judah with what I have, too bad God's Church didn't stop playing Church and only preaching to a converted audience and step out from behind the podium and GO TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. You've miserably failed to do that with all of your many resources.

Did Mr. Armstrong submit to those politicking in Sardis? [Church of God, Seventh Day] NO. Will I submit to the likes of Herr Leap who would have me obey men over God? Who would forbid me from doing all that I can for God? (Luke 9:50). NO. It's too bad the PCG [Philadelphia Church of God] has failed to apply MM (Malachi's Message) to themselves and quit looking to men to save them. It's too bad that too many have failed to learn that is IS following GOD'S GOVERNMENT when we refuse to obey men when it means disobeying God.

I've continued to grow, by God's grace, as a member of HIS Church (I wasn't baptized into any sect or denomination of men, remember?). I'm not a Catholic who thinks salvation is impossible outside of the Church hierarchy/religious establishment.

All that being said, I still feel that the PCG has more truth than any of the other splinter groups (like Mr. Armstrong felt about Sardis), but is not rich and in need of nothing (like some vainly imagine). That's why I still direct people and attention to the Philadelphia Trumpet [magazine] that many may glean what God will grant them. May God bless the PCG and every individual to continually grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (not any man).

Sincerely,
David Ben-Ariel

Philadelphia Church of God minister's review of Beyond Babylon

Review of Beyond Babylon: Europe's Rise and Fall by a Philadelphia Church of God minister (before his "superiors" yanked his chain):

"Oh, how I admire those with both the ability to write as well as the courage to put down their ideas on paper! I felt that you have a very gripping style of writing that uses twists and slants of words or phrases to make your point. I looked up every scripture you referenced and it became clear that you have really spent a lot of time in your Bible. Being Jewish, I think, gives you an added perspective that I could never have... Expulsion from Bet Hashalom (House of Peace)

First thoughts after the expulsion from Bet Hashalom

From Nadia Matar:

Dear Friends,

I would like to thank the tens of people who called and sent emails to ask how I was doing. Thank G-d I feel better and returned home after having been in the hospital.

The many beatings by the expulsion forces dressed in black who kicked us and beat us with their clubs during yesterday's expulsion from Bet Hashalom, paralyzed me completely and the paramedics feared my neck and spine had been hurt. I was rushed to the Shaarei Tzedek hospital. Thank G-d, after different tests in the hospital all were shown to be OK.

My body obviously hurts very much but that will pass in the next few days. My fighting spirit on the other hand has only increased and was strengthened after I had the honor to spend the entire last week, together with thousands of others, in Bet Hashalom.

We had the honor to get to know the 14 wonderful families who have been living in Bet Hashalom for the past year and eight months and the many other activists from Kiryat Arba Hebron. I am telling you, there are not enough words to describe those wonderful Jews. They gave us the most incredible lesson in hospitality and in love and total devotion to the Land of Israel. In addition, I want to salute the wonderful hundreds of youth who came to Bet Hashalom and strengthen them.

I would like to address the lies and misinformation coming out of Ehud Barak's office and being spread by the media. We are being told that the expulsion from Bet Hashalom went by "smoothly and was done within an hour".

It is important to announce that this is a complete lie. The truth is that against all expectations, the expulsion from Bet Hashalom took them at least four and a half days. As you recall, many expulsion troops already arrived in the area on Monday and it was clear that they planned to do it Monday night. But thanks to the thousands of loyal Jews who came and stayed in Bet Hashalom, and thanks to the hundreds of youth who did not stay indifferent to the attacks by the Arabs, the planned expulsion was prevented and postponed.

This lasted until Thursday. Every day over a thousand people stayed in Bet Hashalom and the government, understanding that this is not going to be as simple as they thought, just added more and more troops to the area. In addition, the government did not expect that the planned expulsion would start such fierce demonstrations all over the country. There were daily protests all over the country by hundreds of Jews outraged at the thought of the upcoming crime.

I am convinced that had we managed to keep over a thousand people in Bet Hashalom also on Thursday, the expulsion would not have taken place and may this be a lesson for us in the future.

In addition, it is hard to say that the expulsion is over with. Yes, they managed to take us out temporarily from Bet Hashalom but since the expulsion there are demonstrations and disorder by loyal Jews protesting all over the country and, hopefully, this is just be the beginning. We must make sure that the government pays a heavy price for the expulsion of Jews so that in the future they will think twice if this is worth it for them. The message is clear: if it took so many days and so many forces to expel Jews from just one house, don't even think you will ever again be able to uproot Jews from an entire community. In addition to the protests all over the country, the Bet Hashalom residents have already announced that they plan to go back to Bet Hashalom today, even if it means living in tents in the vicinity.

I am writing these words the day after the expulsion from Bet Hashalom. I am sure that in the next few days we will have many more conclusions and thoughts about what happened here so we can learn for future struggles.

In conclusion, the expulsion forces who behaved as brutal, violent monsters indeed managed to bruise our bodies but we are the ones who, please G-d, will give them the final blow. Our main revenge will, please G-d, come on February 10, election day, when the people of Israel will expel this anti-Zionist, anti-Jewish Bolshevik regime and will bring to power a national government.
Let's just hope that this time, the new elected leaders will not disappoint us and will really be loyal to the Land of Israel, the People of Israel and the Torah of Israel.

Based on biblical prophecy and an understanding of human nature, we can expect things will only get worse for faithful Jews and Israelis before they get better:

Paint Israel Black: Jews to Lose Jerusalem!
Israel's rejection of their 1967 miracle will result in their loss of Jerusalem. Let Israel lower its flag and mourn and paint the country BLACK since Orange was crushed under "just following orders" soldiers doing their sworn enemies' dirty work....

Israel's Betrayal of the Jews
Let Jews and Israelis examine Israel's betrayal of the Jews before it's too late and Jerusalem suffers under EU occupation.

Woe to Ariel! (Jerusalem to Suffer EU Occupation)
Isaiah 29:1
Woe to Ariel, to Ariel, the city where David dwelt!
Carl Sandburg, an American writer warned: "If America forgets where she came from...if she listens to the deniers and mockers, then will begin the rot and dissolution." The same principle applies to our Jewish brethren in Israel.

Mount Zion Under Siege: Who Will Be King of the Mountain?
The Vatican has its evil eye on Jerusalem! What better place to start their siege against the Holy City than Mt. Zion? Watch for them to fortify their position and launch an all-out attack to undermine Israeli sovereignty, enlisting Jewish traitors and the international community.

EU to Conquer Anglo-Saxons and Jews
I've come to the sad conclusion, the grievous understanding, that Israel's leaders have often sold out their land and people to foreign interests, bloating their personal bank accounts at Israel's expense, and that the pressure was often an excuse for them to do what they had already agreed upon: continue the lying peace process of phased destruction, dismantle the Jewish Homeland, dismember their Mother piece by piece and pervert the Promised Land of Israel into an accursed "Palestine" (Ps. 83:4).

4Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, which should betray him,
5Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?
6This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.

Those who rightly divide the Word of truth, know that Judas was the accountant; Judas held the bag, he wanted the money in his hand so he could pocket it.
Unlike Judas, I'm not the PCG accountant and I don't want to pocket the money, but rather I encourage the Philadelphia Church of God leaders, I exhort PCG Pastor General Gerald Flurry, to spend God's tithes and His offerings more wisely and become GOOD STEWARDS - better stewards - the Christian thing to do.

"Flurry's ad referred to me as "a man that the Israeli police suspects of being involved in terrorist activity." Of course, he offers no proof of it, as they never did either - because there isn't a shred of evidence to even suggest such nonsense! What is clear is that some are terrorized by the truth! So, yes, in that sense, I am a terrorist!"

not so much 'the truth' as 'diehard truth' Dave, there's a lotta folks out there preaching what they feel is God's honest to goodness truth that amount to no more than theological wind socks

That's the plain truth. But how do we know? We go by the Word, the black and white of the Scriptures, and it either confirms or denies their validity. That being said, the apostle Paul said some actually preach the truth, or parts of it, but for all the wrong reasons, but that the Word is still getting preached. Halleluyah!

Is the Plain Truth Too Strong?

to oppose that majority, especially under scrutiny, is terrorizing their politically correct universe....

Since others have exposed it, I've never gone after Gerald Flurry for acting cultic in some ways, for amassing a billion lofty religious titles to himself, magnifying himself, for anointing himself as "THAT PROPHET" foretold in Scripture (which Christians know and understand refer to Jesus Christ, not Gerald Flurry), but for going backwards rather than forward (a Herbert W. Armstrong wannabe), creating his own little kingdom in Edmond, Oklahoma, instead of getting the Word out to the world as strongly as possible, not piecemeal but powerfully, not a pip squeak but a trumpet blast that grabs everybody's attention to warn the world, and for permitting the fascist minister Dennis Leap to terrorize the flock (who I've since read had a nervous breakdown and is no longer part of the PCG organization) and lord it over the other ministers and disfellowship me for writing Beyond Babylon without being a "man of stature," a minister, playing politics, when the Bible demands no such criteria.

The fact that Flurry can't handle criticism, when those who voice honest opposition to this or that doctrine in the PCG (or even question it) are put out from the organization immediately, proves he is going papal and is surounded by sycophants who fear for their lives, as if Gerald Flurry can give salvation or assure protection from the gathering Storm. Sounds like Worldwide all over again. Some folks just never learn.
